The ARM Electronics DVR83000CD120 DVR is a generation ahead of the regular embedded system DVRs with technologies like triplex operation, motion detection, built in PTZ camera controls, central monitoring, flexible configuration and others. The DVR receives video inputs from 8 different cameras and gives you the output in NTSC or PAL format as per your choice. With 120 FPS recording and playback resolution of 720x480, you are assured of excellent video quality. Moreover, a digital zoom up to 2x makes it convenient for you to focus on distant objects. The recorded videos are compressed into H.264 or MPEG-4 format in the 3TB hard disk, thus ensuring practically no loss in the quality of the stored footages. You can also record real-time audio in synchronization with the video. Audio input through the RCA x 2 line in channels is compressed into ADPCM, G.726. You can transfer the stored footage onto a 2.0 USB or CD/DVD R/W, and free up the system memory. With this DVR, apart from recording an event, you can also view and playback the same simultaneously. The playback option lets you Play, Stop, Pause, Rewind, Forward or Search as you desire. Even the playback speed can be set to 1x, 2x - 32x as per your requirement. You can retrieve the footage by specifying the date, time or event, thus making it simpler for you to search the vast 3TB storage space. Another interesting aspect about this DVR is that you can view footages from as many as eight DVRs, each with 16 ports, on a single monitor. This makes it easy for you to take in the entire scenario at just one glance. To make your surveillance more effective, the motion detection feature ensures that no activity in the surveillance zone is missed - it also avoids non-stop recording and unnecessary usage of the DVR's memory. Motion detectors, along with the alarm system, function as a single unit which signals whenever any motion in the field is detected. Networking and access to the Internet are some of the other useful features of this DVR. The compatibility not only ensures complete surveillance but also proves useful for keeping up with the latest software updates for the system. When it comes to ruggedness, the DVR works equally well under climatic challenges - temperatures ranging from 32 - 104° Fahrenheit and atmospheric humidity ranging from 5 - 85%.
