With subscription to local service, the three-line LCD screen on the handset allows you to view the name, number, time and date of incoming calls at a glance, even when you're already speaking on the other line. The sleek design of the base provides a number of adjustable features—you can easily change the ringtone or its volume, the handset volume, or plug in a headset for comfortable hands-free operation. Any key answer allows you to connect in an instant, and the lighted keypad and screen supply clearly legible usage under a variety of lighting conditions. The base also includes a fully digital answering system with remote access-- listen to your messages, change your outgoing announcement and more by calling in from any touch-tone phone. You can also make use of call screening, which allows you to answer a call in the midst of the caller leaving a message.
