Simplify A/V Installations The Avocent LongView Wireless extender provides connectivity between computer-based audio/video sources and display devices including LCDs, monitors, plasma displays and projection devices. The LongView Wireless extender simplifies A/V installations making them more cost-effective by eliminating the need for miles of cabling and expensive PCs at each remote location. Audio, video and PC content are transmitted wirelessly from the source computer to the output device utilizing a unique, proprietary compression engine. The transmitter and receiver process analog video in a range of 100 to 3000 feet depending upon the LongView Wireless extender model chosen. User-Friendly OSD The LongView Wireless extender firmware features a user-friendly On Screen Display (OSD) for managing connectivity, making adjustments and tuning the audio/video settings. Because of its industry-standard design, the LongView Wireless extender is compatible with virtually any PC, display and operating system - requiring no new drivers, software or OS upgrades. Installation is easy and eliminates the expense and inflexibility of conventional hard-wiring. Secure, Wireless Connectivity The LongView Wireless extender eliminates the risk associated with many wireless products because of its three levels of security which include: �AES encryption. �Proprietary 802.11a link layer protocol. �Proprietary video compression. LongView Wireless Extender � LV3500W The LongView Wireless extender transmitter and receiver process analog video inbound Mand outbound with a distance range that varies depending upon the LongView Wireless model installed. The LongView Wireless LV3500W transmits data 100 feet through walls and up to 300 feet without obstruction. The LongView Wireless LV3500W extender, includes a wireless transmitter and receiver, power supplies and audio cables. The firmware features a user-friendly OSD for making adjustments and tuning the video settings. The LV3500W transmission ranges from 100 feet through walls up to 300 feet line-of-sight. The omni-directional antennas enable the transmitter and receiver to locate each other even if one of them has been moved.
