Overview
Versatility is what makes pieces of kitchen equipment incredibly valuable. The fact that they can do more than one thing or in do it in more than one way makes the appliance extremely useful. If it has doors, drawers, or a combination of both, then it can provide ways and means of organizing ingredients, offering convenience in accessing those ingredients, and keeping those ingredients fresh and cold. The Beverage Air 48 series of refrigerated sandwich and salad prep tables lets you decide what configuration would work best for you and your kitchen, no matter how much square footage you can cover or how busy your lunch and dinner rushes. The SPED48-12-2 within the series offers both drawers and a door. Able to keep ingredients cold, the appliance uses a CFC and HCFC-free refrigerant making the system more efficient. Products are kept below 41�F, yet above freezing, increasing shelf life. Air is recirculated and forced throughout the cabinet�s area from the evaporator, which boasts its own condenser, eliminating the need for floor drains. Insulation is also made from CFC and HCFC-free material, which has a two-inch thick polyurethane density. The drawer frames are made from stainless steel, making them tough enough to withstand repeated opening and closing, and the drawers themselves are supported by heavy-duty telescoping slides with locking mechanisms. These drawers also accommodate four-inch and six-inch deep pans in the top and bottom areas, respectively. The door, which stays open at a an 120� angle, sits on cartridge-style hinges that allow for easy removal in case cleaning is necessary, as well as the ability to close on its own. The outside of this piece of equipment is also constructed with a heavy duty stainless steel finish, and the hood and insulated lid, which are removable, are made of the same material. To prevent corrosion, the interior liner is built out of galvanized steel. The 10-inch wide cutting board is made from polyethylene plastic and is easily removed for cleaning. This table sits on six-inch casters, two of which have brakes. When looking for a basic prep table that will fit nicely into a smaller kitchen area, yet provide needed workspace, consider the SPED48-12-2.
