The ServSwitch Wireless KVM Extender
brings KVM extension technology to 802.11a standard wireless! It extends
the distance between the ServSwitch unit’s transmitter and
receiver—without cables. Perfect for multimedia presentations, digital
signage, classrooms, auditoriums, and places of worship.
This ServSwitch™ wireless KVM extender brings KVM extension technology
to wireless! Our Wireless KVM Extender connects a remote keyboard,
video, and mouse plus audio to your local CPU without cables.
The Wireless KVM Extender processes inbound and outbound analog video
using a compression engine. The engine features a multimedia digital
signal processor (DSP) and Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chip
that are coupled to an IEEE 802.11a radio board. The engine design makes
the Wireless KVM Extender compatible with virtually every PC, display
technology, and operating system. Installation is plug-and-play and
requires no software. A convenient on-screen display enables you to make
adjustments and fine-tune the video.
The wireless KVM extender’s radio board transmits data up to a scorching
54 Mbps within the 5-GHz band. It uses Orthogonal Frequency-Division
Multiplexing (OFDM) technology, which enables the transmission of large
amounts of digital data over radio. OFDM also reduces the amount of
crosstalk in signal transmissions.
Transmit and receive data when cables aren’t an option.
Deploy the Wireless KVM Extender in a variety of applications. Use it
when you need to expand your network where wires cannot go; installation
is fast and easy. Or if you move users frequently, the Wireless KVM
Extender has the mobility you need.
The Wireless KVM Extender includes a transmitter unit and receiver unit
that use a proprietary design based on the 802.11a standard. Connect the
transmitter directly to your CPU to send audio and video data. The
transmitter unit also acts as a receiver for keyboard and mouse data
from extended (remote) devices. It includes a 3.5-foot (1-m) cable with
video and PS/2 compatible keyboard and mouse connectors.
Connect the receiver unit directly to your remote keyboard, monitor, and
mouse to serve as the radio interface for these components. It receives
audio and video data from the source (local) CPU, and it can send
keyboard and mouse data to the source CPU.
Ensures quality video.
The Wireless KVM Extender supports VGA, SVGA, and XGA video at
resolutions of 640 x 480, 800 x 600, and 1024 x 768. It’s compatible
with most video monitors (although not extra large or specialty
monitors). Best performance is achieved if the color resolution is set
to 24-bit color or higher.
A convenient on-screen display, accessed from the receiver side, enables
you to make adjustments and fine-tune the video. The display is embedded
in the extender’s hardware and requires no new operating systems,
drivers, or application software.
Includes superior analog audio support,
too! The receiver unit connects directly to your remote keyboard,
monitor, and mouse. It receives audio and video data from the source
(local) CPU and outputs the audio over connected speakers and
headphones.
Protect your transmissions.
Security is based on the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), a highly
secure encryption scheme with a fixed block size of 128 bits, and a key
size of 128, 192, or 256 bits. |
