Auto squelch function automatically shuts off weak transmissions or unwanted noise due to terrain or range constraints. Maximum Range Extender overrides the auto squelch to provide extended range reception. 10-channel memory allows you to program up to 10 channels or channel/privacy code combinations for easy retrieval. The scan feature allows you to scan either channels, CTCSS privacy codes within a channel, DCS codes within a channel, or up to 10 memory locations to locate avoid conversations in progress. When activated, the key lock feature provides key pad security eliminating accidental channel changes.

Includes 2 lithium ion rechargeable batteries (1 per radio). 2-port desktop charger charges the supplied rechargeable batteries inside the radios. Charger accommodates 1 or 2 radios. A unique circuit extends the life of the batteries. If there are no transmissions within 10 seconds, the unit will automatically switch to battery saver mode. You can also choose between High Power to maximize range or Low Power to conserve battery life (in GMRS).

Call Alert function provides an easily recognizable alert for incoming calls. Roger Beep confirmation tone indicates the completion of your transmission, and signals to others it is clear to talk. This feature is selectable and can be turned on or off. Get up to 10 call tones so you can differentiate between up to 10 different parties on incoming calls.
