The Wholehog 3 rackmount control unit packs all the power of the Wholehog 3 console into a compact 1U, rackmountable unit. The unit has full network capabilities and is ideal for show control and backup applications. The unit includes the same embedded 500MHz PowerPC electronics as the console for maximum compatibility. A re-writeable CD drive allows easy archiving and transferring of shows to and from a console. Four USB ports are included for connection of Wholehog 3 accessories including playback and programming wings, and touchscreen monitors. The unit can form the heart of a show controlled system. Cues may be triggered directly using MIDI, or remotely using MIDI/Timecode processors. Output may be expanded using DMX processors to create a system controlling up to 8192 automated luminaires.
