VPN is an encryption mechanism that makes safe connections possible between networks over the internet. The VPN tunnel can use IPSec or PPTP (Windows VPN). The SoHo 401 VPN can connect with other VPN capable products, like the HotBrick VPN Client or Windows PPTP VPN. It is an outstanding high performance and cost effective product. The SoHo 401 VPN was developed to respond to the needs of small offices and home users who connect to the internet using a high bandwidth connection and need a safe and simple internet sharing solution. Up to 4 users can connect directly to SoHo 401 VPN ports, or up to 253 users using hubs and switches. The SoHo 401 VPN is easy and simple to install and requires no specific network knowledge. HotBrick�s SoHo 401 VPN allows the definition of access policies, with user division into groups with distinct internet access and policies. It also allows controlling and blocking undesirable web sites and works as a DHCP server, assigning IP numbers to the computers of your network while releasing a computer from that task. SPI Protects Against DOS Attacks HotBrick�s SoHo 401 VPN has a high performance firewall for the protection of your business or home. The firewall provides SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) which detects and blocks DoS (Denial of Service) and other malicious attacks.
