On March 11, 2007 Panasonic introduced two new bagless upright vacuums featuring advanced technology developed by Panasonic to make cleaning easier and more effective. The new models, MC-UL671 and MC-UL675, sport stylishly vivid color designs.

Both models boast Panasonic's proprietary AeroSpin technology, which spin-cleans the main filter every time the power cord is pulled from the cord reel. When fine dust and dirt accumulate in the filter, airflow and cleaning performance are reduced. AeroSpin cleans the filter every time the cord reel is activated to restore proper airflow and maintain optimum cleaning performance.

These Panasonic vacuums deliver high performance with low maintenance. Panasonic designed these total cleaning systems with the latest technology to make cleaning faster, easier and more efficient.

The top of the line MC-UL675 vacuum is equipped with an on-board electronic dirt sensor system to automatically detect hidden dirt. Color LEDs show the user the current cleaning condition: red means the vacuum is still removing dirt from the carpet, while green means the area is effectively clean. The lighted Performance Indicator provides feedback to make the vacuuming task more targeted and efficient by alerting the user if the vacuum has an obstruction in air flow, such as clogged hose, full dust cup or other types of air restriction. In addition to the dirt sensor, the MC-UL675 includes an agitator shut-off control to allow safe and effective bare floor cleaning.

Both of the new bagless vacuums feature an anti-static dirt cup. This is especially convenient for pet owners because it reduces the tendency for pet hair and fur to stick to the insides of the dust cup from static build-up.

Other convenience features of both the MC-UL675 and MC-UL671 include an ergonomic height adjustable handle and a quick draw wand with stretch hose for those hard to reach places. Dusting brushes and a crevice tool are neatly stored onboard in a side caddy. Both models also have an automatic carpet height adjustment to ensure the proper setting for any cleaning surface.
