Description
The 64PP9905 HDTV is a 64" diagonal, 16x9, rear projection set designed to enhance the home viewing experience by displaying the highest resolution currently capable of being provided by the ATSC standard, which is television pictures encoded at 1920 x 1080 pixels, 60 Hz interlaced. In addition, the 64PP9905 can receive and decode all approved ATSC formats and display them in 1080i upconverted images. ATSC Dolby sound is decoded into 6 discrete, high fidelity channels. An internal 6 channel amplifier can drive the pertinent left, center, right, subwoofer, rear left and rear right speakers. Standard NTSC signal sources such as off air rf, cable, VCRs, DVDs are line doubled and displayed in 480p mode. Provisions are included to view other external high quality video and sound sources which may become available soon. PCs can be viewed in either compatible VGA and SVGA modes. The key features that contribute to the High Definition capabilities of this product are its wide bandwidth signal processors and amplifiers, 9" red, blue and green projection CRTs, high resolution 9" optical lenses, first surface mirror and the combination of a high quality fresnel lens with a fine-pitch, low dispersion, low reflectance, black stripe, color corrected front screen.
