Mass Notification Paging Center |
Marketing Information |
The VNS5100 Mass Notification Paging
Center is designed to control and activate visual, audible and
alphanumeric wireless devices such as strobe lights, public address
speakers, sirens, intercom wall stations, voice pagers, pagers and LED
displays. In addition, the VNS5100 can provide a wireless time reference
signal required to synchronize wireless analog and digital clocks. The
time reference can be retrieved from the network time server or a GPS
satellite system using an optional GPS receiver.
The VNS5100 has the ability to support 10,000 wireless devices for
individual and group access. The system also includes two RS-232 serial
ports, allowing integration with third party building PA and fire alarm
interfaces. In addition, the VNS5100 provides the user with up to 1,000
programmable alphanumeric messages for quick messaging. It can also
support user-recorded alerts using the provided desktop microphone to
access wireless speakers, telephone subscribers and voice pagers.
Wireless alerts can be initiated by the user from the VNS5100 networked
PC utilizing the optional VNS2000 client software or the optional
password-protected telephone interface. Automated alerts
can be initiated by serial communication protocols, the integrated
preprogrammed event schedule, receiving of incoming email* messages,
activation of the optional dry contact closure alarm point module or
activation of the optional wireless push button transmitter interface.
The VNS5100 is capable of generating alerts of different types and
activating wireless and non-wireless devices such as wireless speakers
(embedded tones and bells, pre-recorded voice alerts and user recorded
voice alerts), controlled devices with an ON or OFF status such as
strobe lights, alphanumeric displays, and tone or voice pagers.
The alerts for non-wireless devices include email notification to email
and smart phone subscribers, network notification to VNS2000 client
users (pop-up window), messages to pagers and cell phone subscribers of
nationwide service providers, voice messages to telephone subscribers or
PABX extension, and audio output through the PC audio sound card. For
applications that require two-way communication, the VNS2261 and VNS2263
intercom options allow the VNS2200 to provide two-way communication
between the VNS5100 and an intercom wall station or emergency call box.
The VNS5100 AlertWave system utilizes optional radio transmitters with
FCC approved frequencies and power ranging from 6 to 300 Watts,
providing full RF coverage to any sized facility. The VNS5100 system is
fully expandable, allowing you to start with a basic system that fits
immediate requirements while maintaining the ability to add future
devices. |
