Overview
The Allen and Heath MADI Interface Card is a dual port MADI card that supports two streams of 64 channel bi-directional 24-bit 48 kHz serial digital audio transmission using two 75ohm coaxial cables per port

An additional auxiliary connector can be configured to mirror stream 1 outputs, pass thru stream 1 inputs, or as a word clock input or output, Daisy chain or split signals to multiple devices, sync with either stream or an external word clock

The second port can be configured as an independent stream or as a redundant backup connection using a second cable; Signals from either stream can be routed to the iLive channels in blocks of 8

iLive and GLD outputs can be patched to MADI and appear at both stream outputs; Typically MADI is used for multi-channel recording and playback

Long coaxial cable runs are possible depending on the driver capability of the hardware, making it a frequent choice of equipment interconnection in gigs, studios, and broadcast applications

A 490-Foot cable-run is reliable MADI to MADI using 75ohm Belden 1505A cable; MADI cables are directional, so there is one connector for MADI-out, and one for MADI-in. It is a point-to point interface between a source and a destination.
