The American Dynamics SpeedDome Ultra Outdoor Housing (Smoked) is an all-weather protected housing for the SpeedDome Ultra camera; the camera can be easily installed in the housing by connecting the video, power, and data cables. Constructed from reinforced fiberglass and high-impact polycarbonate, the housing has a UV-stabilized sunshade, trim ring, top cover, and smoked bubble. Tamperproof screws affix the bubble to the housing that can be easily fixed in a variety of locations using different types of mounts (ceiling, pole, roof, wall, and corner). J-boxes to facilitate wiring of both the housing and the dome and also protect the connections from tampering are available. The housing has been designed to provide maximum protection to the camera even in extreme weather conditions. Its built-in thermostatically controlled heater and blower prevent ice formation and remove any ice that accumulates in 1 hour. Though it has built-in temperature control, you can also manually activate the defog and defrost mode. You can view the housing temperature and humidity on the on-demand menu display. As the presets, patterns, and other parameters are stored in the housing's I/O board, they are automatically downloaded to the new dome when a replacement is needed. The housing is equipped with 4 alarm inputs and 1 alarm output, and it offers surge and lightning protection of video, communications, alarm input and output, and power lines. While the IP66 and NEMA 4 ratings assure robust protection from falling dirt, rain, sleet, snow, windblown dust, splashing water, and hose-directed water.
