The Bolide Technology Group BIC 6000-4KIT is a
surveillance kit consisting of a 4-channel PCI board and software. The board
and software install into a Windows PC, turning it into a virtual DVR.
Besides being an obvious cost saver, this type of setup is advantageous in
many other ways. It allows operators to navigate DVR functions via a GUI
running on the Windows operating system that they are already familiar with,
all with the convenience of using a mouse and keyboard. Furthermore,
operators can make use of any hard drive/s and CD/DVD burners already
installed in the PC. It also makes it easy to incorporate any future
firmware upgrades. Although computer driven, this PCI board does most of the
processing on its own, leaving the host PC to do its part fast and
efficiently. |
