The DR-9080C is the first truly affordable, high-speed, color desktop production scanner that appeals to budgets that could have never justified it before. At 90 pages-per-minute (black-and-white or grayscale) and 50 pages-per-minute (color), the DR-9080C is powerful enough to handle large decentralized scanning jobs. With the DR-9080C, scanned images of photos, charts, diagrams, highlighted text and valuable information are captured with remarkable clarity and detail, achieving optimal throughput at high speed. With a host of advanced features, the DR-9080C performs all functions effortlessly, for continuous scanning at its best.

• When scanning letter-size documents in landscape mode, the DR-9080C can achieve speeds of up to 220 images-per-minute (IPM).
• Additionally, the device boasts portrait scanning speeds of up to 90 pages-per-minute (black-and-white or grayscale) and 50 pages-per-minute (color), and is powerful enough to handle large decentralized scanning jobs.
• To optimize connectivity, the DR-9080C comes with a choice of ISIS/TWAIN drivers, plus dual SCSI-III and high-speed USB 2.0 interfaces.
• Canon's unique Multistream technology enables you to generate multiple images in various combinations from a single scan. Simultaneous output of color, black & white, grayscale or color dropout images, offer unique capture flexibility.
• With Canon's advanced Contact Image Sensors and dual light sources, scanned images are captured with remarkable clarity and detail, while maintaining maximum throughput at high speed.
• The DR-9080C's high-capacity 500-sheet Automatic Document Feeder will self adjust automatically to each document size or thickness in a mixed batch.
• With a choice of 256 levels of grayscale, black-and-white, or color, and an optical resolution of 600dpi, the DR-9080C offers maximum flexibility.
• With its patented Staple Detection System, the DR-9080C automatically stops the scanning process in its tracks whenever it detects a staple that could damage documents and reduce throughput.
• The DR-9080C's unique Ultrasonic Multifeed Detector avoids doublefeeds or overlaps, and monitors each document for abnormal length, thickness or gaps. It will suspend scanning upon detection to send an error alert to the operator.
