Description :

The PS-18B is a member of Cerwin-Vega’s ProStax series and is specifically designed for use in permanent installations. This compact 18" folded horn subwoofer will handle 800 watts of continuous program power for an incredible SPL of 130 dB (rated power at 1 meter).

The 18" subwoofer features a 3" voice coil and diecast aluminum frame with vented magnet assembly to dissipate generated heat. The folded horn design makes the PS-18B the ideal choice for nightclubs and discos requiring high sound pressure levels.

Although the usable frequency response ranges from 40 to 350 Hz, we recommend biamping the PS-18B with a full-range PS-12 SII or PS-15 SII at a crossover frequency of 80 Hz. Amplifier connections are made easy via the use of Neutrik Speakon™ 4-pin connectors.

The PS-18B couples to the floor or another cabinet via interlocking corners for increased bass output. All ProStax models include durable, perforated metal grilles and recessed molded handles for easy handling. Each is constructed with 3/4" plywood and covered with a rugged, Tolex™ vinyl skin.
