outputs, the DN-S5500 can operate deck 1 and deck 2 simultaneously by a
simple flip of a button. Each deck layer has full access to all
available features, connected devices and music library. When used as a
MIDI controller, each deck can control two players from DJ software such
as PCDJ/Reflex LE, PCDJ VJ, PCDJ DEX, Serato Scratch LIVE, Traktor,

Torque Direct Drive Motor and Spinning Platter Design
Denon’s proprietary 12-pole direct drive brushless motor design is
keeping true to the turntable’s native feel, delivering instant full
rotation speed with a powerful 2.5 kg/cm of start-up torque within 0.5
seconds for true turntable reaction and response. DJs can perform freely
as if using an analog turntable. Platter rotation can be changed from 33
to 45 R.P.M. for comfort.
Modular HDD/CD Option (world’s first)
Have full control over internal hardware preference with the optional
(BU5501) slim-type CD-ROM drive or a 2.5” laptop-size hard drive* as the
secured “internal” source playback. Imagine the media advantages of two

External USB Device Support
The DN-HS5500 can support multiple external USB mass storage class
devices direct or via a USB 2.0 hub (sold separately). Connect a iPod®,
jump drive, and large USB hard drives for easy access to your small or

obtain powerful on-board features such as Instant Start, Seamless
Looping, Scratching and File Searching

The DN-S5500 is designed to interface and control a variety of popular

USB Audio Internal 24-Bit Processing
The DN-HS5500 has a USB audio interface (sound card).The internal power
supply features 24-bit DAC processing from industry leader Burr Brown (a
product of TI) for superior audio fidelity. USB audio interface includes
2-channel stereo output pair, 44.1kHz sampling ranges and low latency
ASIO/OSX core audio support.
D-Sync
Two DN-HS5500 players can be linked together by a single RJ45
cross-cable for Master/Remote operation. This easy operation enables the
DJ to make all peripheral connections to a single player while having
full control of music devices from either side. The Remote player has
independent access to all connected devices including use of the
keyboard function.

Mirror Mix Exclusive feature that is

Delays setting are adjustable from 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1/1, 2/1.
Large 3.8” Display Easy-to-follow,
bright display provides visual text feedback of modes and parameters
making it very intuitive for first time users to navigate. Options
include split screen for simultaneous dual deck monitoring or larger
single deck wide display mode, LCD contrast, 3 LCD illumination levels
and inverse display image.
Pitch Range and Deep Pitch Resolution
for DJ’s who perform long mix transitions and require high pitch
resolution. Offers .02% for the 4% pitch range and .05% for the 10/16%
pitch range 24%/50%/100% ranges are also available. *Features 100mm long
stroke pitch slider for smooth mixing.
Keyboard and Intuitive File Navigation
System Supports 3-types of global USB keyboards (Qwerty, Qwertz, Azerty)
in nine native languages for simplified song search of: artist, album,
title, genre, year, BPM, file name, hot list and folder structure.
Shortcut keys are also assigned to perform various functions and Latin-1
character support is available.
Playlist Creation and Hot List Powerful
on-board function allows to create, edit and save up to 3 types of
playlist categories. Hot List stores immediate requests or songs
intended to play. Once the Hot List file is played a checkmark appears
next to it.
Key Adjust Keeps vocals and music
sounding true even when the speed of the track is adjusted. Hot Starts
and Seamless Looping Two Hot Starts (A1 and A2) can be made on-the-fly
and easily turned into seamless loops and used as stutter points as
well.
Loop A/B Trim A or B point for the
seamless loops can be easily adjusted on-the-fly to perfection.
Memo Function Cue Point, BPM, Pitch
Setting and Range, PitchOn/Off, Key Adj On/Off, and Seamless Loop A and
B data can be stored directly to the file for later recall.
Next File Function with Cross Fade
Search next file by nine different criteria without interrupting
playback and crossfade seamlessly to that file for a smooth segue upon
command. *Cross fade time is adjustable.
File Transport Utility Transport files
to and from any connected device mounted to the player. For example,
easy transport of registered files from USB thumb drive to another hard
drive when connected. This updates your libraries all at the same time
too.

forward stroke to perform the same cuts as if using a mixer’s
crossfader.
