Travan data cartridge can store up to 8GB. Travan technology is a backward-compatible, scalable solution to meet and keep pace with currently expanding needs. Based on the linear quarter-inch cartridge (QIC) technology, the secret is longer, wider tape that stores more data within the standard 3.5" format. Free up hard drive space and backup servers quickly with a proven, high-capacity storage solution and a solid backup plan. Dissipates static and reduces static-related problems. Minimizes compression damage to the recording surface. Reduces tape slippage to ensure uniform signal output. Eliminates speed variations of tape across the head. Improves tape winding and stacking. Can withstand 10,000 end-to-end tape passes and have an archival life of up to 20 years. Compatible with HP T4, HP Colorado T4000, HP Colorado 8GB Travan and all industry standard TR-4 drives.
