The Kobra 240-SC meets the requirements of NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12 for destruction of Smart Cards, Credit Cards and Smart ID cards. The National Security Agency/Central Security Service of the United States mandates that destruction of all variations of Security Sensetive Smart Cards is performed based on requirements of NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12 for proper data sanitization The Kobra 240-SC destroys the Magnetic Stripe and the IC (Integrated Computer Chip) on the ID, Smart Card and Credit Card and meets requirements of NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12. Destruction of Smart Cards/Smart ID Cards by a shredder that is cross cut is not allowed by and does not meet the requirements of NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12
