• New algorithm divides entire screen into high and low frequency elements to reduce artificial distortion and noise compared to conventional compression.

• In addition, the mode-A compression data calculation within four (4) field images (called “Temporal Transforms”), outputs data according to the amount of movement: “No Movement,” “Slow Speed Movement,” “Medium Speed Movement,” and “High Speed Movement.” Redundant data can be reduced through this compression process.

In addition to the advanced compression technology incorporated into the WJ-HD300 Series, the unit provides a wide range of sophisticated features designed for optimum simplicity. The unit offers 16 independent recording profiles where each video channel can be programmed via a user friendly graphic user interface independently. Cameras can be recorded in multi-screen displays at 60/120 images per second resulting in image sizes of 720 x 240 pixels and 360 x 240 pixels respectively. Individual cameras can also be assigned to record at specific recording speeds and compression modes at any time/date configuration desired.

The WJ-HD300 Series also features versatile event search and filtering parameters such as time/date, camera number, recording mode and alarm activated recording which can be triggered by the unit’s built-in Video Motion Detection (VMD), video loss, terminal alarm or a serial command.

Two units are available in the WJ-HD300 Series: the WJ-HD316 with 16 camera inputs and the WJ-HD309 with 9 camera inputs. The units are available configured with one or two 160GB hard drives (320GB total internal storage) that can be partitioned for better storage management. Optional expansion units are available that will provide up to 7.5TB of total storage capacity.

As part of the complete digital recording solution design approach, the WJ-HD300 Series also features the ability to control pan/tilt/zoom functions over a single coax cable. The built-in web server provides easy camera set-up and pan/tilt/zoom control functions via a standard web browser. In addition, up to four WJ-HD300 Series DVRs can be cascaded to provide a total system capacity of 64 channels.
