Extended wear is provided via the head gear or helmet mount, which gives the user hands free operation. This unit is based on the most advanced image intensifiers, with 59-64 lp/mm for a better resolution, which limits blooming. The Sightmark PVS-7 features an automatic shut-off, which turns off the unit when it is exposed to bright light sources, and an automatic brightness control that saves battery life. The Sightmark PVS-7 is a Generation 3 night vision unit that produces higher resolution than other night vision models and gives the user more range of sight.
