Simrad AP24 Marine Autopilot utilizes the Simrad Intelligent Marine Network - SimNet, which features plug and play operation and Slim Line connectors for easy cable routing, so you'll be up and running in very little time. The ability to 'daisy chain' SimNet instruments in any order allows you to use the most efficient cable runs possible when installing the equipment.

Virtual Rudder Feedback
This unique feature, recently introduced to Simrad Autopilots means that no rudder feedback unit is needed for outboards and stern drive boats. In terms of installation, you will save a huge amount of time and aggravation thanks to this sophisticated new feature.

Simrad AC42 Autopilot computer
The autopilot computer is the main unit in the Simrad AP24 and Simrad AP28 autopilot systems.

It contains the steering computer and electronics for the drive unit motor and clutch and provides interface to other system components. Two models, AC12 (8/16 A motor current) and AC42 (30/50 A motor current) are available. It communicates on the proprietary SimNet data and control network to establish a reliable digital communication and power distribution between the units in the autopilot system as well as other Simrad Yachting products.

The Simrad RC42 is a rate compass with an integrated rate of turn sensor
The Simrad RC42 rate compass provides a significant improvement to the dynamic performance of both the autopilot and a stabilized radar display.

The Simrad RC42 compass is designed for connection to the SimNet network. It is equipped with 5,5 m (18 feet) of SimNet cable with connector. The compass transmit the heading even if the autopilot is switched off.

RF300 Rudder feedback unit for boats with inboard engine
Simrad Yachting rudder feedback units are high resolution units which contribute to gentle yet accurate steering that characterise the Simrad Yachting autopilots. They are rugged units designed to withstand the environment. Though Simrad Yachting now offers the virtual rudder feedback VRF� for outboards and stern drive boats up to 40', it is neccesary to display rudder angle on your autopilot.
