By using Toshiiba’s updated Hard disk drive technology, the Toshiba MKxx32GSX 2.5-inch hard disk drive series with SATA interface is a highly advanced product.
Serial ATA or SATA is an evolution of the parallel ATA (PATA, also known as IDE) physical storage interface. Visually, the cables used are the most noticeable change from PATA. The SATA standard define a data cable using seven lines with a max. length up to 1 meter. Furthermore the data cable is thinner and facilate more efficient airflow inside a form factor and also allow for smaller chassis designs.
